P.K. O'Brien & Associates are a family based Chartered Quantity Surveying practice based at "GlenAugh", Robinhood Road, Clondalkin, Dublin 22. We provide quantity surveying, cost consultancy and project management services across a wide variety of sectors. We specialise in the residential sector working with a number of large residential private developers. We take pride in our ability to meet our client's needs delivering projects on time and within budget.

Role Description
This is a full-time role for a Intermediate / Senior Quantity Surveyor at PK O'Brien and Associates. Ideally the candidate will have at least 5 - 10 years experience whom is looking for a new challenge. The position is located in our office based in Ballymount with the majority or projects in the greater Dublin area. The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost control, preparation of Bills of Quantities (BOQ), cost management, cost planning, and cost reporting.

Qualifications

  • Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying
  • Preparation of estimates and cost plans for variety of projects using Buildsoft/Cubit/Mudshark software
  • Expertise in Cost Control, Cost Management, and Cost Planning
  • Experience in preparation and analysis of Bills of Quantities (BOQ)
  • Proficiency in Cost Reporting and use of Excel, Word and MS Office.
  • Prepare valuations and cost reports; re-measure as necessary and adjust variations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Prepare and agree final account
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • To be presentable and punctual
  • To be able to work within a Team environment
